Happy Forever
Last weekend we were inspired by the cutest 6 year old girl who was at the store. Her aunt was trying on wedding gowns, while she quietly played with her doll. Out of nowhere, we overheard her daydream about her future wedding: a white dress, an “eternally long” veil, and lots and lots of pink flowers. We casually eavesdropped. Her vivid daydream was the sweetest. When we asked who she was going to marry, she answered “I don’t know but we will be very happy, happy, happy.” Then she paused, took a breath, and finalized her statement by saying “We will be happy because we will be together, forever” It was very simple yet profound. This cute 6 year old managed to verbalize in a simple statement what the quest for the perfect partner is all about. At the end of the day, isn't it about finding that one person that simply makes us Happy and hopefully, will last Forever? So simple, so perfect!

It’s official, spring has officially started, and that dear friends, puts us in the best mood. Yes, we know what you’re thinking… “You’re in South Florida, do you even have such a thing as Spring?!?!?” True... We get it. Our fluctuation in weather is so slight, we don't deserve to refer to seasons as stations. Yet, spring for us means longer days, it means going into the water when we visit the beach, and most important, spring means new love!
Spring is an extremely popular time to get engaged, and an even more popular time of year to get married! Definitely, spring weddings can be the most intimate and romantic of affairs, or the most extravagant and lavish ones too. However, no matter what the bride-to-be chooses, what’s definitely true of spring weddings, is that they are the freshest and fairest of them all.

We came across this African proverb this weekend and it literally, stopped us on our tracks and made us take a moment! It’s such a deep and powerful philosophy. If you think about it, it applies to so many aspects of life: from career & work, to friendships and obviously, marriage! Definitely, when in a partnership, especially in a marriage partnership, this philosophy really rings true. Sticking together, bringing out the best in each other and ultimately, as a unit, taking all of life’s ups and down together are key in making it last… Really last. Happy Friday & Would You Dare?
Yay Friday! Every once in a while we like to shake things up and get out of our comfort zone. So we’ve designated this weekend as an offbeat weekend and we’re going to do something a bit off the beaten path. We’ve been throwing around ideas – maybe canoeing? Maybe going to a new restaurant and having our waiter order for us? Maybe facing our biggest fear and skydiving? Not sure what we’ll do (probably not skydiving, ha!) but it'll hopefully, turn out to be a fun, shake things up kind of weekend!

Inspiration Monday!
How was your weekend? We had a lovely weekend! We hosted the Maria Elena Trunk Show, which was fantastic! The bridal accessories collection is just gorgeous! We also went to the Miami International Film Festival and to Fairchild Tropical Garden for the orchid festival! Both were amazing! And all the activities led us to our favorite type of weekend! It was one of those weekends where we were able to interact with many creative and passionate folks. The type of people that truly inspire and bring out the best in us!

When planning a wedding, beautiful, pretty and gorgeous are definitely adjectives brides want to hear… Not only when describing how they look, which we believe ALL brides look gorgeous on their wedding day, but how the wedding looks! Happy Friday! Happy Fashion Friday! We just came back from Fashion Week, and as you can imagine, it was an amazing experience! We’ve been to NYC Fashion Week a number of times, but truly, it never gets old! There was so much inspiration and creativity… And of course, beautiful fashion!
Our heart skipped a beat when we witnessed Monique Lhuillier’s collection sashay down the runway! Her jewel tones and use of this year’s official color, emerald green, was truly breathtaking! And her RED jeweled gown: A-Ma-Zing!
Jenny Packham’s collection was also gorgeous! It was decadent, intricate and the details are just impeccable! Definitely, a collection fit for any princess! Finally, Carmen Marc Valvo, was another favorite! The collection was simply stunning... The fit of the dresses, the details of the fabrics - OMG!

Pre-Lovers' Day Inspiration!
Yay, tomorrow is Lovers’ Holiday… Otherwise known as Valentine’s day! As you can imagine this is one day we HEART at Chic Parisien! Firstly, it is an extremely popular day for couples to get engaged. And we have to admit Valentine’s Day engagements are our favorites, they are always so romantic! But secondly, and more importantly, it is a day to celebrate LOVE!
We know many cynics don’t enjoy this day anymore, but at its core, it's really such a lovely occasion! It is the one day of the year that is meant for couples to celebrate their love for each other! We say, who cares what cynics think…Take a moment, say I love you to that special someone, be romantic, be corny, have fun, and definitely, take advantage and smooch your lover as much as you want!

New Wedding Trend Alert: Short!
In the last few years, we have witnessed one trend make a comeback: short wedding dresses! Back in the 50s and 60s this was a popular trend with brides and recently we have seen it reappear with brides who are looking for something unique, unexpected, gorgeous yet more relaxed in its nature but still very chic! It works perfectly for outdoor weddings, beach weddings, and chic city hall weddings, among others!
However, what’s exciting is that we have seen this trend also embraced by more "traditional" brides that are looking to change into a reception dress. To wear not only one gorgeous gown during the ceremony, but also a second, short gown, during the magical evening! Finally, many brides who wish to extend their wedding events by wearing a short wedding dress for their rehearsal dinner is also becoming popular!
In essence, it does not matter why the bride chooses short, what is certain is that it is definitely a great way for a bride to make a fashion statement yet keep it fun, young, flirty and still very chic! Yay for Fridays! Are you doing anything exciting this weekend? We couldn’t be more thrilled with this weekend’s trunk show: Peter Langner Bridal collection. This amazing collection comes directly from Rome, Italy, and we heart Italy!
Can you imagine an Italian destination wedding? Wouldn't it be super romantic and dare we say, sexy, to get married in Rome! We can imagine the red wine flowing, the delicious food being served, the beautiful lighting and of course, an amazing group of family and friends that makes the party last until the wee hours of the morning!
