Idyllic Wedding On the Island of Enchantment
You won’t want to miss another Chic Parisien Trunk Show once you hear about this month’s Real Chic Bride, Gabriella, who found her dream gown during one of our Monique Lhuillier Trunk Shows. While she had previously eyed the gown while searching online soon after she got engaged, she knew it was “the one” when she finally tried it on in person. “My dress was the first one I tried on at the Trunk Show,” says Gabriella. “I tried on a few more gowns that day but none of them felt like the first. I was absolutely convinced that was my dress.”
The wedding of Francisco and Gabriella took place at the Parroquia San Pedro Mártir in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, followed by a reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Juan. Dressed in hundreds of flowers, soft glowing candles and floating votives encased in glass, the reception venue struck the perfect balance between modern and classic. The décor, which followed a black and white color scheme, gave off a dramatic yet elegant feel. “Even my bridesmaids wore black and white dresses!” says Gabriella.
Bride’s Favorite Moment: “Believe it or not, my favorite part is that it didn’t stop raining all day. I was stressed about the weather at first but it actually ended up making everything feel so intimate and romantic. Francisco and I enjoyed every minute of our wedding.”

A gorgeous bride, a gorgeous groom, and of course a gorgeous wedding! Melissa and Michael had the loveliest of weddings in Naples, Florida. Melissa designed the ceremony and reception so that everything glowed! She wanted everyone to feel like they were practically living inside a candle, surrounded by warm colors and sparkling crystals! The goal was for everyone to feel like they were on holiday….to recreate a time where people still get dressed up for special occasions. While she wanted it to be luxe, it was also important that everything felt approachable, friendly and inviting. Oh – and plenty of champagne and cigars! Boy do we have a treat today… A Real Chic Bride with a destination wedding in the one and only Venice, Italy! Rosemary Gonzalez and Oscar Carrera fell in love with Venice on their first vacation together and they wanted to re-live that experience and share it with their loved ones. It was a magical affair with their most intimate family and friends. The bride wore a gorgeous Junko Yoshioka and a beautiful Maria Elena headpiece and veil! She was stunning, the Venice backdrop was gorgeous and the wedding couldn’t have been more beautiful. Below is how Rosemary experienced it! We think it would be a dream to do a destination in Italy... Would you do it? Tell us what you think, we always love to hear!

In a few words, what is your style? I'm very simple, and I wanted to keep it that way for the wedding too. I wanted a vintage feel that would work well with the backdrop of Venice.
What was the mood/experience you wanted to achieve? We wanted to have our guests feel as though they were in a Fellini film- a magical experience.
Why did you choose the dress you chose? Actually my mom picked out the dress- she always seems to know my style better than I do! As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one.
What was your favorite part of your experience? It was stress and worry free, which is what we wanted. We were able to enjoy every last second of it hanks to our wedding planner Anna Bozza! We definitely could not have done this without her.
If you could change anything what would it be? Only that we could stay in Venice longer!

Today is a big day for us here on the blog… We are showcasing our very first Real Chic Wedding! We couldn't be more thrilled with this first wedding as it took place in our very own neck of the woods: Coconut Grove, Miami. The event was a romantic and extraordinarily joyous affair. It was set against a backdrop of blue Miami ocean waters, a white on white color scheme and a perfect group of family and friends to celebrate the occasion! The venue, decor and ambiance was one of traditional elegance, yet the bride and groom set out to create a fun party mood, thus adding sparklers, stilt walkers, and a Mardi Gras inspired party hour that was simply to die for! When asked what was the most memorable moment of the evening, "Being introduced as Mr. & Mrs Macias as we ran through a tunnel of sparklers" was on top of the bride's list! Take a peek and enjoy!
