Molly Sims Glows in Marchesa!
Once in a while, we come across weddings that are truly the makings of a little girl’s dream… And this week, when we saw supermodel Molly Sims’ gorgeous, rustic, elegant wedding we realized it was exactly what a fairy tale wedding should be! We had seen a couple of photos of the gorgeous bride over a year ago in People magazine, but when her photographer, Gia Canali, published a full gallery of this wedding, we were able to really admire Molly’s exquisite taste.
The bride wore a stunning Marchesa gown for this outdoor, chic wedding. Her hair was up with a sparkly, pretty hairpiece securing the flowy veil. The bridesmaids are gorgeous in tan, brown and black mismatched dresses. And the setting is just amazingly delightful! We can’t wait to watch director Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, in theaters May 10th. This is where Hollywood glamour, Amazing movie stars, Awesome music and Stunning costumes ALL come together... And Leonardo is also easy on the eyes! Definitely, The Great Gatsby has been one of the most popular bridal trends we’ve seen this year. We're beyond thrilled! Off the heels of Bridal Market, this weekend we have the amazing Liancarlo Trunk Show! This collection is absolutely AMAZING! It's designed for a modern day princess... Gorgeous silhouettes, exquisite fabrics and the most stunning details we've seen in a while. But as usual images speak louder than words. So not only are we showcasing pics of some of our fave gowns, including some beautiful details we've spotted, but also, we're featuring a short film where Liancarlo designer, Carlos Ramirez, tells us about his inspiration! The film is absolutely lovely! Every bride-to-be looking for a gown must see it!
The trunk show will be Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. During the trunk show, Liancarlo designer, Carlos Ramirez, will be in store helping brides-to-be find their perfect gown. Bridal Market: Spring 2014 Recap! (Part 1)
How was your weekend? We hope it was as great as ours. As many of you know, we've been in NYC attending Bridal Market. This is the official event where all the top bridal fashion designers showcase their latest collections! We have been witnessing Spring 2014 collections unveil and sashay down the runways! So far the collections this year have been absolutely AMAZING! We have seen everything from exquisite detailed lace, to minimalistic modern couture styles, to Great Gatsby inspirations, to dramatic gowns fit for a queen. What we've loved most is how everything is absolutely BREATHTAKING, one gasp after another! Real Wedding: Gorgeous Merida Wedding!
Timeless elegance are two of our favorite words when describing a wedding! And my gosh, Martha and Armando knocked it out of the park, truly achieving this description of their gorgeous wedding. Taking place in Merida, Mexico, this wedding was exactly what she dreamed of! An intimate affair with friends and family that captured her perfectly crafted style: elegant, traditional and simple. The event was filled with love, laughter and fun! The gorgeous bride said her favorite part was all the smiles of her loved ones throughout the day and night. Her dress and veil are a gorgeous pairing from Monique Lhuillier. She says she knew it was THE dress when she tried it on and was so moved, she couldn’t stop crying! Congrats Martha and Armando… we wish you an eternity of fun, health and love!

Happy Forever
Last weekend we were inspired by the cutest 6 year old girl who was at the store. Her aunt was trying on wedding gowns, while she quietly played with her doll. Out of nowhere, we overheard her daydream about her future wedding: a white dress, an “eternally long” veil, and lots and lots of pink flowers. We casually eavesdropped. Her vivid daydream was the sweetest. When we asked who she was going to marry, she answered “I don’t know but we will be very happy, happy, happy.” Then she paused, took a breath, and finalized her statement by saying “We will be happy because we will be together, forever” It was very simple yet profound. This cute 6 year old managed to verbalize in a simple statement what the quest for the perfect partner is all about. At the end of the day, isn't it about finding that one person that simply makes us Happy and hopefully, will last Forever? So simple, so perfect!

We came across this African proverb this weekend and it literally, stopped us on our tracks and made us take a moment! It’s such a deep and powerful philosophy. If you think about it, it applies to so many aspects of life: from career & work, to friendships and obviously, marriage! Definitely, when in a partnership, especially in a marriage partnership, this philosophy really rings true. Sticking together, bringing out the best in each other and ultimately, as a unit, taking all of life’s ups and down together are key in making it last… Really last.
