We're kicking off the New Year in a BIG way! Our very first Trunk Show of 2014, which takes place January 3 - 4, will not only feature Lazaro's highly acclaimed Spring 2014 Collection (and a special in-store appearance by Lazaro himself!) but we will also preview the latest Maria Elena Collection in its entirety!
Our very own Catherine Fox Milian had the pleasure of spending time with Lazaro during the recent Bridal Market in New York, and he can't wait to visit us in-store to share his inspiration behind his newest Collection with Chic Parisien's brides!

Idyllic Wedding On the Island of Enchantment
You won’t want to miss another Chic Parisien Trunk Show once you hear about this month’s Real Chic Bride, Gabriella, who found her dream gown during one of our Monique Lhuillier Trunk Shows. While she had previously eyed the gown while searching online soon after she got engaged, she knew it was “the one” when she finally tried it on in person. “My dress was the first one I tried on at the Trunk Show,” says Gabriella. “I tried on a few more gowns that day but none of them felt like the first. I was absolutely convinced that was my dress.”
The wedding of Francisco and Gabriella took place at the Parroquia San Pedro Mártir in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, followed by a reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Juan. Dressed in hundreds of flowers, soft glowing candles and floating votives encased in glass, the reception venue struck the perfect balance between modern and classic. The décor, which followed a black and white color scheme, gave off a dramatic yet elegant feel. “Even my bridesmaids wore black and white dresses!” says Gabriella.
Bride’s Favorite Moment: “Believe it or not, my favorite part is that it didn’t stop raining all day. I was stressed about the weather at first but it actually ended up making everything feel so intimate and romantic. Francisco and I enjoyed every minute of our wedding.”

Most Memorable Movie Brides!
As little girls many of us dreamed of what our weddings would be like… Who will I marry? When will I get married? What kind of wedding will I have? And of course, which dress will I wear? Earlier this week, here at the store, we were reminiscing about our childhood fairy tale wedding dreams and we ended up at which movie bride we all wanted to be! Definitely, Maria from Sound of Music is a strong favorite, Princess Bride was too… but in the end it was Belle from Twilight that took the cake! 3 Best Tips when Selecting Your Destination Wedding Dress!
This week, we’re busy packing dozens of dresses as we will be visiting Puerto Rico for our annual Monique Lhuillier Trunk Show. We’ve been focused on preparing for a destination event, so we thought it would be fitting to share some wedding dress tips specifically for brides who may be considering a destination wedding.
- Pack it Up: You want your dress to look perfect… So, when selecting a dress for a destination wedding, go with something that packs easily. Lace gowns are often an appropriate option – both for an island destination, if that’s what you fancy – and because they don’t wrinkle!
- Remember it’s a Carry-on: When you head to the destination where you’ll be saying your I dos, you’ll likely carry your gown on board the plane in a garment bag, so think about the weight of your gown. You’ll want something lightweight to make the travel process easier.
- Dress of Your Dreams: While choosing the right dress for the location is a key factor, it is most important to WEAR the dress of your dreams! We’ve worked with many brides who walked down a sandy aisle on the beach in a ball gown and conversely brides who exchanged their vows in ballrooms dressed in slim silhouettes… in the end, it’s all about how you feel in “The Dress”
